How to Open and run DirectX Diagnostic Tool in Windows
The DirectX Diagnostic tool better known as Dxdiag is used to collect information about your computer’s components and devices. It helps troubleshoot problems with DirectX sound and video. For instance, this info is needed when you need to download and install drivers for your computer’s hardware components to function properly with your operating system. 

Method 1

On your keyboard, press Win+R to open the RUN Window. Type dxdiag and press ok.

Method 2

In Windows 7, select Start and enter dxdiag into the search box on the taskbar. Select dxdiag from the results.


In Windows 10, Just click on the Cortana Search icon on your task bar, enter dxdiag into the search box. Select dxdiag from the results.
